At Celebration Centre we believe giving of our resources is not an obligation but a gift. It is another way we can show our dedication to God.

In the Bible this is called tithing, which is the giving of 10% of one's income to the Lord via the church to support the church and its mission.

It's rooted in Old Testament teachings, such as Leviticus 27:30, which commands Israelite's to give a tenth of their produce. In the New Testament, Jesus affirms the practice in Matthew 23:23 but emphasizes justice, mercy, and faith over ritual. The Apostle Paul encourages generous giving in 2 Corinthians 9:7, suggesting that while tithing is a guide, the focus should be on willingness and joy in giving.
